Anya Volz, a comedian born in Vermont who is now living in New York City. Her work has been praised by men from all over America for her wit, described as humorous yet not too preachy. She is a contributing writer as well as the creator of material to Riot Fest, The Hard Times as well as Macaulay Culkin Bunny Ears. She is the daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former bank executive, as well as Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist, she is about half English in half Spanish. The father of her was Argentine with Scottish and English roots. Her mother comes from Spanish and English roots. Taylor-Joy has four siblings from her father's prior marriage. She lived with her family living in Buenos Aires from the time she was 6 until they moved to Victoria, London. Taylor-Joy claims that the move to London was traumatizing and she did not learn English so that she could avoid returning to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school following the transferred from Northlands. She later enrolled at Queen's Gate School where she trained in ballet and appeared in school productions. Then she dropped out of the high school aged 16 to pursue an acting profession. Taylor-Joy was always aware that her dream was to become an actor. She achieved this when Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management and Storm Management offered Taylor-Joy an modeling job.
