Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale is an American professional player with the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association. She was a college basketball player for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, prior to her being picked by the Wings with the fifth overall pick in the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale was born March 2nd, 1997, in Milwaukee Wisconsin to parents Yolanda and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale is her 26-year-old brother and Dare Ogunbowale, 20 years older. Her parents spoilt her the most since she was the most young. Gregory's father served in the Nigerian Army. Ogunbowale comes from a family which has strong ties to sports world. Her mother Yolanda was a softball player for DePaul as did her brother Dare. Dare has a career in football. Her cousin Endia Olive is also a volleyball player at Tennessee State. Ogunbowale was named on her college's Honour Roll for three years consecutively. The high school she attended is credited with bringing her fame as well as the attention of her peers. Arike graduated from Divine Savior Holy Angels High School in her home town. She participated in three games of the varsity league during her time at school. Ogunbowale's extraordinary abilities helped the school winning spectacular victories several times. She compiled her high school record with 73 career start and finishes her career with 1 477 and 739 rebounds. Ogunbowale has won Gold Medals at the 2013 U16 FIBA Americas Championships and 2014 FIBA U17 World Championships and 2013 3x3 FIBA U18 Championships. In July 7, 2014, she was added to the 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale was also selected to the ACC All-Freshman Team following her initial year at a college. She was even congratulated by Kobe Bryant. Kobe Bryant after she hit several big shots at the NCCA Tournament. Ogunbowale is a promising basketball player, who has already proven herself to be an excellent star. Arike's net worth according to a credible source is estimated at $5 million.
