Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born August 20 1974, Aviano Italy) American actress, especially noted for her critically acclaimed performance of charming and naive characters. Adams is born in Italy while her father served in the U.S. military and she lived within Castle Rock Colorado as one of seven kids. In the early 1990s, Adams started dancing and performing professionally at the Boulder Dinner Theatre as well as the Country Dinner Playhouse. She then moved to Minnesota and was made a part of Drop Dead Gorgeous, a mock documentarian film about beauty contests. In Los Angeles, she pursued an acting career after her film debut in which she played a dizzy but friendly contestant. She also raised Kelly Curtis, Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh's career in film began in the late 1940s after she was hired by MGM. She had been discovered by Norma Shearer. The actress portrayed Norma in various popular films over time, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho which was released in 1960 as well as Living It Up, a Martin and Lewis film which was released in 1954.
